Wag N' Purr Announces Its Grand Opening
The online fashion resale store will benefit pets in need.
SAN DIEGO, CA – A new one-of-a-kind online store is selling fashion goods for a great cause: to help local pets in need of critical, life-saving care. Wag N’ Purr Shop is the first of its kind high-end shopping experience with 100% of proceeds benefiting the nonprofit FACE Foundation and its mission to save pets from economic euthanasia.
For ten years, The Foundation for Animal Care and Education (FACE) hosted its annual Bags & Baubles shopping event to raise funds for pets in need of life-saving emergency veterinary care in Rancho Santa Fe. When Bags & Baubles went virtual last year due to the health crisis, FACE Board President and local philanthropist, Cini Robb, had an idea to expand upon the concept and founded Wag N' Purr Shop, an online resale boutique full of donated high end, new and gently used items for women, men, and pets.
Now open, the online shop offers handbags, fine and costume jewelry, accessories, men’s items, pet items, and more. As a celebration of its Grand Opening, Wag N’ Purr Shop is offering free shipping on all purchases.
“Buy a bag, save a life,” says Rachel Rothstein, Communications and Events Manager of FACE Foundation. “Your purchase helps pets like Oscar, the beloved pet of a Marine family. Oscar has been in my life for the last 4 years. With their husband gone so much, Oscar has been the smiling face the family has come home to. So when Oscar developed a collapsed lung last weekend the family’s heart was shattered. Although he improved some the first few days, he needed surgery. FACE was able to help with getting Oscar home."
FACE Foundation helps local pets in need of critical and life-saving care. Pets like Oscar are supported with the proceeds from the Wag N’ Purr Shop.
Wag N’ Purr Shop is accepting gently-loved and new products on an ongoing basis. Learn more about donating an item to the store here: https://wagnpurrshop.com/pages/how-to-donate-an-item.
About FACE Foundation
FACE Foundation was created in 2006 to combat the problem of “economic euthanasia” – the tragedy that occurs when pet owners are forced to euthanize their beloved companion animals because they cannot afford emergency veterinary care. FACE strives to save lives, reduce economic euthanasia, and increase the wellness of San Diego’s pets. To date, FACE has saved the lives of nearly 2,950 local pets by providing financial grants in partnership with over 176 veterinary partners throughout San Diego County for pet owners in need.
