Travel Agency in Destin, FL Discusses Launch of New MSC Cruises MSC Seaside Ship

Destin, Fla. - With the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, many in the travel industry have faced a myriad of difficulties over the last year. Popular tourist destinations have had their borders closed to visitors, and many companies have had to downsize or, in some cases, even close their doors for good. Have Travel Memories Vacations, LLC, a travel agency in Destin, FL is sharing an announcement of the latest addition to the MSC Cruises fleet, a sure sign of growth in a time where many have struggled.

As the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine begins to increase in volume, more and more travelers are looking ahead to a future where they can once again reunite with the world. MSC Cruises recently announced that one of its most innovative ships, MSC Seaside, will be deployed for the first time in the Mediterranean starting as early as May 1, 2021.

The MSC Seaside will feature a new itinerary. The seven-night cruises will be making stops at Genoa, Valetta in Malta, and Civitavecchia, with 2 new ports of call at Siracusa in Sicily and Taranto in Puglia. The cruise line will be continuing to implement the company’s health and safety protocols. These measures include universal COVID testing at embarkation as well as mid-cruise, weekly testing of crew members, enforced social distancing, mandatory masks in public areas, protected excursions onshore as well as enhanced deep sanitation and ongoing cleaning procedures. The ship has been welcoming guests for a vacation at sea since August of last year and has since safely and responsibly carried more than 40,000 guests.

“I would encourage you, if you’ve never been on a cruise or are a cruise lover, you need to get booked on a cruise. Start planning and get booked,” says travel expert and cruise planner, JoDell Haverfield, in her Cruise Industry Updates episode of their podcast. “They’ve got the most lenient cancellation policies that I’ve ever seen in my nearly 30 years’ experience in the [travel] industry. So, if you want to go get booked because [the cruise lines are] going to start out with a lot less capacity meaning they’re going to sell out a lot quicker.”

Have Travel Memories Vacations has been closely monitoring the travel industry since the rise of COVID-19 and is encouraging travelers to contact them with questions regarding travel restrictions, safety protocols, or policies.
