Top Plastic Surgeon Offers Rhinoplasty At EIPS

The Nicosia, Cyprus based European Institute of Plastic Surgery (EIPS) is pleased to announce that it is offering rhinoplasties. With surgical and medical offices in Nicosia, Limassol, Athens, and Sliema Malta, the European Institute of Plastic Surgery provides a range of high-quality aesthetic treatments such as body surgery, breast surgery, facial surgery, and skin surgery for patients from all over the world.

Dr. Demetris Stavrou, head of the European Institute of Plastic Surgery, says, “The nose is a prominent part of our appearance. While the size and shape of the nose is generally affected by genetics and race, there can often be deviations from the norm — whether it is a nose that is bigger or smaller than normal or noses that are asymmetrical when compared to the rest of the face. In such cases, people may feel unattractive and unconfident. There can also be cases where noses with structural issues can cause breathing difficulties or other medical issues.”

Rhinoplasties, more commonly known as ‘nose jobs,’ are a form of plastic surgery that improves the look of the nose and enhances facial symmetry. It includes subtle or dramatic changes to the shape, size, length, bridge, tip and nostrils. In addition to aesthetic reasons, a rhinoplasty can also treat breathing problems caused by a deviated septum (such as sleep apnea and snoring). In these cases, rhinoplasty is often combined with a procedure called ‘SM resection’ that is done on the nasal septum or turbinate.

As the European Institute of Plastic Surgery explains, the lower two thirds of the nose are made up of flexible cartilage while the upper third is made of bone. There is another midline cartilage partition, the septum, that divides the two airways behind the nostrils. The septum supports the cartilage part of the nose and prevents it from collapsing. The septum is what is targeted when rhinoplasty is used to treat a deviated septum. Aesthetic rhinoplasty often aims to decrease the size of noses by reducing both the cartilaginous skeleton and the bone. Provided that it is done by a qualified surgeon, rhinoplasty will leave no trace of a scar.

Dr. Stavrou performs all forms of rhinoplasty at the European Institute of Plastic Surgery. The many forms of rhinoplasty include open rhinoplasty, closed or endonasal rhinoplasty, ethnic rhinoplasty, non-surgical or liquid rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty or septoplasty, rhino-tip surgery or tip plasty correction, ultrasonic rhinoplasty, and revision or secondary rhinoplasty. More information about all of these forms of rhinoplasty is available on the EIPS website.

The surgeon continues, “When it comes to your nose, even a subtle change or improvement can have a significant effect on how you look. It will have a massive impact on the appearance of your nose and your face. After all, the nose is a prominent feature in every person’s face, and it determines how you feel about yourself. If your nose is in any way lacking, a rhinoplasty can fix that issue and bring back your confidence and boost your self esteem.”
