The Manchester Factory Offers Tips on Folding a Fitted Sheet

The Manchester Factory, based in Marrickville, NSW, Australia has recently released a blog post that offer easy tips for folding a fitted sheet quickly. They have created a video that demonstrates the steps to be followed in folding fitted sheets that requires less than a minute to do. By folding the fitted sheet neatly, people will have less crumpled sheets and there will be more space in the closet. All that is required for performing the task is a fitted sheet and a flat surface. This blog post can be accessed at

Dimi, a director and general manager at The Manchester Factory, says, “Please note that there are so many alternative ways to folding a fitted sheet and the one we are showing you is just one way. The video shows how easy it is to fold a fitted sheet and also make more room in the linen closet at the same time. You may not get it right the first time but continue practicing and you will soon get it done perfectly.”

The first step in folding a fitted sheet is to lay it out on a large surface with the elastic side facing up. The second step is to drape the index finger inside each of the fitted sheet’s short end sides and then carry it up to the fitted sheet’s top end, while providing it with a little flick to make sure that it is straight and all in. The next step is to lay down the sheet on a flat surface in such a way that the sheet looks like an upside down U shape. Next, the bottom of the sheet is brought up and aligned with the fitted elastic side. It is a good idea to smooth it out first before performing this particular step. The fifth step is to fold the top end vertically towards the front and smooth it out again. And finally, the fitted sheet can be folded horizontally four or five times, depending on its size.

Meanwhile, The Manchester Factory has collections of available fitted sheets. One example is the Sienna Living Bamboo Cotton 400 Thread Count Fitted Sheet, which can be viewed on their website at It has a sateen weave, which is a three-yarn-over and one-yarn-under weave that has the benefit of exposing more surface area, thus providing sateen its signature luxuriously silky and luminous sheen and soft as feathers feel.

The Sienna Living Bamboo Cotton 400 Thread Count Fitted Sheet combines the luxurious comfort offered by bamboo with the strength of cotton. The woven bamboo fibres and cotton allow the fabric to be breathable, strong, and temperature regulating. This particular fitted sheet is antibacterial, hypoallergenic, and odour-resistant, which makes it suitable for babies and people with sensitive skin. In addition, it costs much less than silk but it is soft as silk while being vegan. And because it decreases moisture and it is hypoallergenic, it minimises exposure to mildew and dust mites. And because bamboo fibres are blended with cotton, this fitted sheet will not stretch out of shape when it is wet.

The Sienna Living Bamboo Cotton 400 Thread Count Fitted Sheet belongs to the Sienna Living Bamboo Collection. Other bed sheets, pillowcases, and related items that also belong to this collection, include the: Sienna Living Bamboo Cotton 400 Thread Count Sheet Set; Sienna Living Bamboo Cotton 400 Thread Count Sheet Set 50 cm Wall; Sienna Living Bamboo Cotton 400 Thread Count Quilt Cover Bedding Set; Sienna Living Winter Bamboo Quilt; Sienna Living Summer Bamboo Quilt; Sienna Living Mattress Protector; Sienna Living All Seasons Bamboo Quilt; Sienna Living Quilted Bamboo Pillow Protector 2 Pack; Sienna Living Bamboo Cotton 400 Thread Count Pillowcase Pair; Sienna Living Bamboo Cotton 400 Thread Count Charcoal Quilt Cover Set; and more.
