LAPilotGirl Is Expanding Its Selection Of Aviation Themed Products

LAPilotGirl, an aviation-themed online store that sells female pilot attire, apparel, drinkware, office items, bags, home goods, accessories, and more, has announced that it has raised capital to widen its product selection.

Erika J., the owner as well as administrator of the online store, speaks on the infusion of funds that are going to allow the store to expand by saying, “It has been a long and fruitful journey so far but we are just getting started. We have a long-term plan in mind to turn LAPilotGirl into the ultimate online destination for women who are looking for products that evoke a desire to fly and soar. We aim to inspire young girls and women to stay true to themselves and their dreams and to take the steps they need to make a career in this yet male-dominated field. The recent funds that we have managed to collect for the expansion have come from many sources. My closest friends and my supportive family members have pitched in to help me turn this dream into a reality. I’ve also dipped into my savings because I genuinely believe in the potential of the store and want to see it do the best it can. Though the store has only been online for a few months, we are confident in the aspirational value of the products that we are offering and we can’t wait for the expansion to help us introduce new product categories and SKUs. There is a lot that we have planned for the future and we are super excited that now the plan has been set in motion. The results will follow soon. In the meantime, if aviation as a hobby or industry interests you, or you are already a part of it, make sure to visit our website and pick out the perfect apparel and accessories to keep you company the next time you take to the skies. You will undoubtedly find LAPilotGirl to be one of the best aviation sites on the internet.”

LAPilotGirl also told the media that they will begin tracking consumer interest to help it better understand what products are the most appealing to its customers, allowing them to adjust their selection according to its products’ demand. The tracking and data collection will respect the privacy of the customers heading to the online store and will only store data anonymously with absolutely no intent to be sold or monetized in any way.

The store’s representative also shared with the media that it will soon launch a new secret product selection based on popular demand. The products have not been announced yet as Erika J. wants to keep it a surprise and roll out a focused marketing campaign when it comes time to make them available to online buyers. The store will also revamp its visual style with an expanded color theme to make it more user-friendly and even more of a pleasure to scroll through.

LAPilotGirl, the eponymous online persona of Erika J., the store’s owner, is a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the 99s, the International Organization of Women Pilots. She's the fly-in chair of her chapter. She organizes monthly fly-in events at and to various Southern California airports and she is also the webmaster for the Palms To Pines Air Race that the LA99s are organizing. Erika was also recently awarded the distinction of Pilot of the Year.

LAPilotGirl’s collection of apparel includes aviation-themed shirts & tops, aviation leggings, hoodies, and swimwear. The store also sells its products on websites where they can be customized such as Zazzle, eBay, Etsy, and RedBubble. The store’s collection of aviation accessories includes pillows, blankets, and reusable balloons, office items such as spiral notebooks, mousepads, and hardcover journals, and gifts such as mugs, balloons, pillows, and water bottles. The accessories and apparel make great gifts for women who are pursuing a career in aviation. They are also well suited for commemorating special events such as completing one’s first solo flight.
