Dallas Now Accepting COVID - 19 Vaccine Registrants

The city of Dallas recently launched a website where people can sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Dallas residents may head over to https://www.dallascounty.org/covid-19/covid-19-vaccination.php to place their names on the list. Once registered, residents will be notified as soon as possible when supplies have been made available.

According to an article published by WFAA ABC 8 on January 3, Dallas County has created a new website where residents can register and prescreen to receive a COVID-19 vaccine if they are part of Phase 1A or 1B. “Right now, we have no remaining vaccine but expect more from the state soon. We still have people in phase 1A that must be given the vaccine even as we begin phase 1B,” Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said in the Saturday announcement. Meanwhile, the county also lists answers to a number of commonly asked questions about the vaccine on its website, including who is eligible to receive it at this time. At the top of the page, there is also a link to register to receive the vaccine for Dallas County residents who are a part of Phase 1A or 1B.

Supplies are currently quite limited, but healthcare officials assure the public that more doses will be available in the coming weeks and months. Those who register through the website will be vaccinated by the Dallas County Health and Human Services.

The city cannot stop buzzing about this important information. There have been multiple articles on the topic published by several media outlets. Walnut Central Orthodontics, a local Dallas orthodontist, even published an article about it on their community blog.

The article talks about the online registration for the vaccine and how the current supply is not able to keep up with the demand. The amount of doses available across North Texas are still limited, but the demand for them remains high. However, it is expected that more doses from the state will arrive soon. Providers in Dallas County and Tarrant County will receive more than 35,000 and 32,000 doses, respectively, as vaccine distribution enters into its third week. Hospitals are currently trying to use the remaining doses on people who are most vulnerable to COVID-19 before the shots expire.

Walnut Central Orthodontics serves Dallas through several initiatives but their primary services are in dental care, providing the city with high quality orthodontic services and treatments. They are dedicated to helping their patients achieve straightened teeth and the best smile possible. They specialize in braces and Invisalign® and are known for being conservative in their treatment methods, especially when treating children who are younger than 12 years old. Furthermore, the clinic understands that each person needs different treatment. Because of this, they recommend treatment options based on each patient’s individual needs and personal preferences.

Walnut Central Orthodontics has received great reviews for their services. Glenn Arceneaux says in a 5-Star Google review, “Dr. Kanebar and the entire staff have been so very attentive to my correction care and have been delightful to collaborate with during my entire prescription. The entire staff is knowledgeable, caring, skilled, pleasant and efficient in delivering the best care in the North Dallas area. I can honestly say I will keep them as my orthodontic care provider from now on. Thank you so much for helping me maintain my beautiful smile.”

Dana Altman wrote in another 5-star Google review, “Dr. Kanabar really went above and beyond to get my son back on track with his Invisalign after he lost his tray and had thrown out the previous trays. The first time my son went in, everyone at Walnut Hill Orthodontics really made both my son and I feel very comfortable and were very thorough with my son’s X-rays. On our most recent visit, I had a few questions about our new insurance company’s coverage, which was explained fully and happily. I would be more than happy to recommend this practice to anyone.”
