Dallas Nonprofits Work Together To Shelter The Homeless

Comunity bloggers in Dallas have been discussing nonprofit organisations that are helping the homeless during a particularly dificult winter.

For example, the comunity section of a Dallas based medical spa, recently published an article exploring how local nonprofit organizations have been working hard to provide more shelter for the homeless this winter. Winter has been harsh this year, and the homeless population is usually the hardest hit during the cold months. With unemployment having spiked, the homeless population has also grown this year. Local nonprofits have banded together to try and shelter homeless people in Dallas from the frigid cold. As temperatures hit freezing, Dallas nonprofits joined hands and put hundreds of people in hotel rooms.

“This isn’t the first time these groups have joined forces with the City of Dallas to protect the down and out from the cold,” the article says. “For the past few days, the City of Dallas and local homeless agencies have scrambled to find a place to shelter vulnerable people from the dangerous temperatures. However, the strain of COVID-19 and other issues have forced them to find alternatives. Last year, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center was used as a cold weather shelter, but it was a massive and costly effort. A city spokesperson said officials have no plans to use it again this year due to COVID-19 concerns. So the battle plan this week involves putting the homeless in hotel rooms.”

Historicallty active in the comunity, Advanced Skin Fitness offers a number of services aimed at helping their Dallas clients maintain youthful health and appearance. The spa’s treatments are the result of years of pioneering and improving non-invasive aesthetic treatments. They are constantly looking for new and better technologies, refusing to settle for a ‘one size fits all’ approach to treating patients. The spa has found that a lot of the time the best results are achieved by using a combination of treatments based on the patient’s needs and preferences.

The medspa has come to be known among Dallas residents as the top provider in the area. Their fat reduction, body sculpting, skin rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, acne and anti-aging treatments mean that Advanced Skin Fitness Medical Spa & CoolSculpting Center has a solution ready for almost every patient.

“I had an appointment with Bill,” says Kimberly Pease in her 5-Star Google review. “He was very knowledgeable. But what I liked best was his no nonsense, no big deal and down to earth attitude. He was confident, he was not fumbling or trying to get the right angle. Boom, it was all done. I shared a story with him and he was very attentive, not like he had to rush off to do whatever a busy person needs to do. Bottom line, he spent time with me and got the job done without missing a beat! Everything looks great! Thanks, Bill! Oh, by the way, here is the trickle down effect, from anyone you get a service from to Courtney and Ben at the front desk, they all have time for you without wasting time!”

Another client, Pearl Wichaidit, says, “I have had three sessions of micro needling so far, and I was very happy from the minute I was in and out. Tonya is absolutely amazing. She was gentle, honest and kind. My face looks much much better after she had her hands on it. Bill is also awesome. He truly cares about his customers and took care of my issues promptly. I am not the type that likes to pamper myself but Tonya completely changed me. Everyone needs to be pampered every once in a while, and this is the place to go to.”
