While making the announcement, the CEO, Brylee Dianna, noted that the Albuquerque Tree Experts' 2023 Scholarship Program for college-bound high school seniors in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas has closed. The application window opened on December 15th last year, with 75 applications received.
After a thorough review process, two deserving students were selected by Albuquerque Tree Experts' selection committee. The chosen recipients of the 2023 scholarship are Samantha Lloyd and Isaac Miller.
Both will receive full financial support for their studies in forestry and related fields at accredited universities within the United States. This includes tuition, books, room and board, and up to $5,000 per year for incidentals such as travel expenses or supplies needed for coursework.
The scholarships are renewable on an annual basis until the completion of their studies. Additionally, both students will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience by completing summer internships with Albuquerque Tree Experts throughout their studies.

Lloyd, a junior at Arizona State University, is majoring in Forestry with a minor in Environmental Science. She has been involved in various research projects on campus and plans to use her degree to help protect forests nationwide.
Miller is a senior at the University of Arizona studying Natural Resources Management and Ecology. He has been heavily involved in volunteer work with local non-profits that preserve Arizona's natural environment. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a career in forestry.
