2020 Scottsdale Golf Club Men’s Rodeo Tournament to Be Held at Scottsdale Private Golf Courses

The Country Club at DC Ranch, a private golf and country club in Scottsdale, AZ, has announced that this year’s Scottsdale Golf Club Men’s Rodeo Tournament will be held on Thursday, November 12th through Saturday, November 14th, 2020. There will be 80 teams competing, playing in 8 flights of 10. Starting times will be at Holes #1 and #10 with a morning wave from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and an afternoon wave from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The priority of participation for teams in the field will be as follows: first priority for teams with 2 full golf members; second priority for teams with 1 full golf member and 1 sports social member; and third priority for teams with 2 sports social members.

The entry fee will be $300 per player, which will be charged for all participants on November 2, 2020. The format has been modified from the one used in previous years and it will be a 54 holes 1 Net Best Ball of the team. A Modified Stableford Scoring System will be used and the team with the highest Overall Stableford Points will be the Overall Scottsdale Golf Club Champion of the 2020 Rodeo.

For the 54 Hole Modified Stableford Scoring System, each player will be playing his own ball on each hole. The best net score of a team on each hole will be considered as the team score. The score of each player on the hole will equate to 1 point on the Stableford scoring system. The scoring will be as follows: -2 points for net double bogey or more; 0 point for net bogey; 1 point for net part; 3 points for net birdie; 5 point for net eagle; and 7 points for net double eagle.

This Scottsdale private golf courses tournament will be made up of 2 person teams divided into 8 flights of 10 teams based on combined team handicap indexes as of November 2, 2020. The team with the highest Net Stableford Points in their flight will be the flight champion. The team that has the highest Overall Net Stableford Points of all of the teams will be crowned as the Overall Champion of the 2020 Rodeo.

The maximum course adjusted handicap differential between partners would be 10. Thus, if the differential is larger than 10, the higher handicap will be adjusted down to keep the 10 stroke differential. The committee will do its best to obtain correct handicaps. If there is any error, the player will need to report it to the committee before to the start of the first round.
