What Do You Do When Your Entire Tour and Cooking-Class Business is Canceled Due To The Pandemic?
You write a cookbook.
SEATTLE, WA, April 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Keli Sim DeRitis, a cooking instructor and owner of Seattle-based tour company Poggi Bonsi, was forced to cancel all of her 2020 culinary classes and European tours due to COVID-19. So she leveraged her love of food and travel, a background in graphic design, and her collection of unique recipes featuring French and Italian regional cuisine to create Cooking with Poggi Bonsi: Traveling Through Food.
The 180-page, hardbound book features over 90 recipes in 10 travel-themed menus. Filled with her full-color photos and original artwork, cooking tips, and suggested cocktail and wine pairings, this vibrant cookbook celebrates the culinary traditions of the author's favorite European locales.
Cooking with Poggi Bonsi: Traveling Through Food retails for $29.95 and is available at CookingWithPoggiBonsi.com and other select retailers.
About Keli Sim DeRitis
Keli founded Poggi Bonsi (named for the Tuscan town of Poggibonsi), an Italian-themed kitchen store, in 2001. With Washington state locations in Burien and Renton, as well as an online store, Poggi Bonsi flourished until 2017--when Keli closed it to focus on her growing tour business with the same name. Since 2014, Keli has led small-group food and wine tours to Italy and France. She has also taught cooking classes in the Seattle area for many years.
